Dr. Paul S. Petrungaro is a world-renowned periodontist and dental implant surgeon recognized globally for his pioneering work in regenerative and implant dentistry. A graduate of Loyola University Dental School, he completed his specialty training in Periodontics at Northwestern University and the Welsh National Dental School in the U.K., earning a Master of Science degree in Periodontics from Northwestern University Dental School.
He served as Coordinator of Implantology for the Graduate Department of Periodontics at Northwestern and completed an Externship at the Brånemark Osseointegration Implant Research and Education Center in Gothenburg, Sweden, learning directly from the founder of modern implant dentistry.
Dr. Petrungaro is internationally acclaimed for his extensive seminars and lectures on advanced periodontal-implant interrelationships, bone regeneration, and the use of growth factors and stem cells to enhance wound healing. He is regarded as an expert in the management of the severely atrophic maxilla and has pioneered innovative surgical techniques utilizing zygomatic and alternative implant solutions to restore complex cases.
A dynamic and engaging speaker, he has presented throughout the world and mentors clinicians globally. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications on implant reconstruction, regenerative therapy, and bone grafting. His pioneering integration of zirconia implants for esthetic tooth replacement has further solidified his reputation as a visionary in metal-free and biologically driven implant dentistry.
